Obviously, this is just a serving size guide. If you have a taller cake, such as a 3 layer 9″ cake you may be able to cut the cake into smaller pieces. For a tiered cake you can add the number of servings for the size of each layer to get the total number of servings. For example if you have a round three-tiered wedding cake with an 8″, 6″, and 4″ tier you will have about 24 servings.
